Description	Murabutide is a safe synthetic immunomodulator derived from muramyl dipeptide (MDP), the smallest bioactive unit in bacterial peptidoglycan. Murabutide has the ability to work synergistically with selected therapeutic cytokines to drive Th1 cytokine release. Murabutide has been found to inhibit human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) replication in macrophages by regulating the expression of cytokines required for different steps in the viral replication cycle.
