Description | HIV-IN-5 is an investigational small molecule with potent inhibitory activity against HIV-1, demonstrating an IC50 of 0.16 μM. It targets key components of the HIV lifecycle, such as reverse transcriptase, integrase, or protease, and effectively inhibits HIV DNA-dependent DNA polymerization with an IC50 of 2.18 μM. By binding to the NNRTI binding pocket (NNIBP) on the reverse transcriptase enzyme, HIV-IN-5 disrupts viral replication, reduces viral load, and slows disease progression, making it a promising candidate for inclusion in antiretroviral therapies for managing and treating HIV/AIDS. |
