Description EHNA hydrochloride is a selective inhibitor of cGMP-stimulated phosphodiesterase (PDE2) (IC50 = 0.8 - 4 μM) and also an inhibitor of adenosine deaminase. EHNA inhibits spontaneous differentiation of human ESCs in feeder-free conditions and directed neuronal differentiation.

In Vitro EHNA completely ablates the ability of cyclic GMP to activate PDE2 activity, whilst having a much smaller inhibitory effect on the unstimulated PDE2 activity.
