Description | Dextran sulfate sodium salt is a long chain polymer of sulfated glucose, containing 17 - 20% sulfur. It has been used as an anticoagulant and has been shown to inhibit the binding of HIV-1 to CD4+ T lymphocytes. It is used to accelerate hybridization of DNA probes to immobilized nucleic acids. |
