Aviptadil-acetate
Category | SARS-CoV |
CAS | 1444827-29-5 |
Description | Aviptadil acetate is an analog vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) with potent vasodilatory effects. It induces pulmonary vasodilation and inhibits vascular SMCs proliferation, platelet aggregation. Aviptadil acetate can be used for the research of pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and SARS-CoV-2 caused respiratory failure. |

In Vitro | Aviprodil acetate inhibits basal proliferation of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMC) and mobilization of free calcium concentrations within these cells in a dose-dependent manner. Aviprodil acetate has a concentration-dependent inhibitory effect on CSE-induced L2 cell death. Aviprodil acetate (10nm-100 μM) attenuates MMP-9 activity induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced rat alveolar macrophages (AM). |
In Vivo | Aviprodil acetate (1, 3 and 10 mg/kg; intravenous bolus) injected into the tail vein. CD1 mice are inhaled by nasal inhalation nebulized inhalation. Aviprodil acetate at a dose of 1546 μg / kg / day is well tolerated and does not produce significant changes in any of the parameters evaluated. After a single administration of up to 3920 μg/kg/day, no changes were observed. |
