In Vitro | Aloperine (1-20 μM; 24 hours) gives growth-inhibitory IC50 values in cancer cells ranges from 0.04 to 1.36 mM. Aloperine (1-20 μM; 24 hours) induces Apoptosis and decreases bcl-2 expression in HL-60 cells. |
In Vivo | In contrast to the effect on leukemia cells, up to 1 mM Aloperine does not significantly reduce the viability of normal PBMNCs at 72 hours. 20 μM Aloperine treatment for 48 h with pronounced dose-dependent induction of Apoptosis and Autophagy in HL-60 cells. Aloperine acts on HL-60 cells and the strongest cytotoxicity is observed at 72 h with an inhibition rate of 94.1%. |
